Claiming

From LegacyLands
Jump to navigation Jump to search

In LegacyLands you can protect your land from griefers by claiming it.

Not all the server's world have claims enabled, you can create claims in the worlds:

  • Survival World
  • Survival World Nether
  • Build World
  • EliteMobs

All the Anarchy worlds don't have grief protection.

Claims go from bedrock to build limit (Y:256), so griefers can't go over or under your base/land.

To make a claim you need claimblocks, these are not physical blocks, they are a number that tells you how much area you can claim.

1 claimblock is equivalent to a column going from bedrock to build limit, so to claim a land 10x10 you need at least 100 claimblocks.

How to get ClaimBlocks

By playing

When joining the server for the first time you get 225 claimblocks to begin with, so you can already claim a your first small base.

You earn 100 claimblocks for every hour of playing time, these are accrued claimblocks, and once you earn 7350 you won't be able to earn

claimblocks this way (after 73 hours and a half of playing time).

By Voting

You can also get free claimblocks by voting (/vote) in the Main Survival world or in the Build world, 50 claimblocks for each vote, plus you have a chance of getting 250 or 1000 claimblocks.

By buying them with in-game money

If you really are short on claimblocks and you just found an ocean temple, you can get the claimblocks you need by buying them with the command

/buyclaimblocks <amount>

Each block costs $5, so be sure to have enough money!

By buying them with real money

In the donations shop we offer 7k claimblocks for $2, and 15k for $4. You can find the donations shop page here or in game though the use of the user panel (/userp)

How to Claim

Chest Claim

The first chest you are going to place will automatically claim a 10x10 area around it, this will be your first claim, only you can access the chest and anything inside the 10x10 radius.

Claim via command

If you need to claim a square area, the easiest way is to use the command

/claim <radius>

This will make a square claim of radius <radius> centered in your position.

Claim by hand

By creating a claim by hand you can make it rectangular and fit exactly your base/build. You'll need a special tool, a golder shovel.

If you are a new player (joined for the first time less than 24 hours ago) you can use the free command

/kit tools

otherwise you need to craft it yourself or buy it.

With the shovel in hand right click on a corner of your land, a diamond block will appear, now move to the corner diagonally opposed to that, and rightclick again.

If you did it correctly you'll see the message in chat and the corners of your claim will be highlited with gold and glowstone blocks.

How to highlight the perimeter of a claim

To see a claim you need a stick, if you click on a block with a stick you'll see in chat if that block is in a claim, if it is, you'll see the owner and the area of the claim (the corners of the claim are shown with virtual Gold and Glowstone blocks.

Resizing a claim

If you want to resize your claim, rightclick with the golden shovel on one of the corners, and then rightclick on a block not in your claim, that will be your new corner for your claim.

You can also expand your claim via commands. While inside your claim face the direction you want to expand you claim (N, E, S, W) an type /expandclaim <amount> This will move that side of you claim <amount> of blocks forward. If in <amount> you use negative numbers your claim will shirnk.

How can i let other players join my claim?

If you set the claim, you are the owner of the claim, but if you are a group, or if you want a friend to build with you you can trust players in your claim, how? While in the claim, you can use various commands to give different levels of trust to a player

/trust <player> It is very generic, players will be able to break/place block, interact with doors/buttons/levers/etc and open any container in the claim

/accesstrust <player> The trusted player will only be able to interact with buttons/doors/levers/etc, but won't be able to break/place blocks or open containers.

/containertrust <player> Gives a player permission to use your buttons, levers, beds, crafting gear, containers, and animals.

/permissiontrust <player> Grants a player permission to share his permission level with others.

/untrust <player> Revokes any permissions granted to a player in your claim.
